AIM Sign-In & Notification Help
Quick fixes for the two most common questions — getting signed in, and making sure alerts reach you.
Aegix AIM accounts are created and managed by your school or organization — there is no public sign-up. That means your organization's AIM administrator is usually the fastest path to a fix.
I can't sign in
- Check with your organization's AIM administrator that an account has been created for you, and confirm which email address it uses.
- If your school or organization signs in with Google or Microsoft, use that button on the sign-in screen rather than typing a password.
- If you sign in with a password and have forgotten it, use the “Forgot your password?” link on the sign-in screen to reset it.
- If Google or Microsoft sign-in says your account isn't found, your administrator needs to add you — reach out to them and try again once they confirm.
I'm not getting notifications
Three quick checks resolve most missed notifications:
- Make sure notifications are allowed for AIM in your device settings.
- On iPhone, also turn on Critical Alerts for AIM (Settings > Notifications > AIM) so urgent alerts can sound even when your phone is silenced.
- On Android, allow AIM's Do Not Disturb access when the app asks, for the same reason.
Then sign in and run the test notification from Settings > Assistance inside AIM to confirm alerts are reaching your device.
Where's the full manual?
The complete AIM User Manual is available to signed-in users inside the app, from Settings > Assistance.
Need more help?
Contact your organization's AIM administrator first — they manage accounts and can resolve most sign-in and notification issues. Once you're signed in, you can also submit a ticket to our support team from inside AIM: Settings > Assistance > Submit a Ticket.
